We are pleased to introduce the first edition of the Pyramid Series e-Press Newsletter, the source for the latest on the Pyramid Series Proximity line, "Your Intelligent Proximity Alternative." Pyramid Series Proximity readers, cards and tags are small, thin, attractive, and competitively priced industry standard Wiegand output devices. This means that the readers can output all Wiegand formats, including the industry standard 26-bit Wiegand format, as well as custom Wiegand and ABA Track II magnetic stripe formats. Perhaps you or your customer(s) would be interested in having a custom Wiegand format? We offer this service free of charge. Additionally, all the Pyramid Series readers can be configured on an optional basis to be HID compatible. This allows the readers to read both HID and Pyramid Series cards and tags.

The P-600 delivers up to 4 inches (102 mm) of read range and is an industry first, combining a Pyramid Series reader with Essex's metal piezo technology keypad into a single package. End users will appreciate the security, durability, flexibility and confidence only the P-600 delivers. Dealers will appreciate its single piece design, four-state LED, audio tone, Wiegand interface (reader and keypad), and potted weather and vandal resistant electronics. For OEM's who are already Essex-compatible, it's a drop-in integration product. And like all the Pyramid Series readers, the P-600 offers optional HID compatibility, and ships with both black and white covers.

We're pleased to announce that we have made several customer-focused improvements to our Pyramid Series card and tag designs. Specifically, these improvements include:

• PSC-1 Standard Light Proximity Card - This "clamshell"-style proximity card is now whiter than the previous model, with a more robust "skin" cover better matching the white color of the card's main body. Additionally the logo, which has been moved to a corner location near the slot punch, is now reverse molded into the card. This allows the card to be easily private labeled with a sticker.

• PSM-2 Multi Technology Proximity Card - This dye sublimation, photo imageable, ISO-style card is now flatter than ever before, with the overall effect being improved printing results. Additionally, on the back of the card, the slot punch indicators have been changed to small, inconspicuous dots, and the Keri logo has been reduced in size and relocated to the far corner.

• PSK-3 Proximity Key Ring Tag - This key tag, perhaps the smallest key ring credential available, has slimmed-down even further. The overall thickness of the tag is now 25% less, while the outside dimensions remain the same, making it even more pocket and key chain friendly. And like the logo in the PSC-1, the PSK-3's logo is also reverse molded allowing it to be easily private labeled with a sticker.
